Samsung Galaxy J6 Price in India Reportedly Slashed by Rs.1000

Samsung has slashed the price of its Samsung Galaxy J6 smartphone in India. The budget smartphone, which was launched at a starting price of Rs 10,490 in May last year, is now retailing for a price of Rs 9,490. However, the Rs 1,000 price cut seems to be available only for the 4GB RAM variant and surprisingly, the 3GB RAM variant continues to be sold for its older price Rs. 10,490 till the time. While the 4GB RAM/64GB variant is now available for the discounted price that is Rs 9,490.

Being touted as the successor to the company’s earlier launch Galaxy J5, the smartphone is currently available on Flipkart, Amazon and Samsung’s official website. However, the new pricing is currently only available when you purchase the phone from Flipkart. As of now, the price of the phone in Amazon and Samsung’s official site remains unchanged. We checked on Amazon India and the phones are still being sold without the price cut. It is possible that the changes might take a while to reflect online.

Samsung Galaxy J6 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J6 is a decent mid-range smartphone that runs OneUI which is based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It features a 5.6-inch display that has a 720×1480 pixels resolution. The device is powered by the Exynos 7870 processor and has up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage. There’s a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP sensor takes care of selfies. Keeping the lights on is a 3,000mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is still at the back of the phone and you can have the phone in three color options – Black, Gold, and Blue.
