Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets Rs 10,000 plus official price cut in India

The Korean company, Samsung is all set to launch its new flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in India on August 22. Just before unveiling the phablet which is four days ahead of the launch, The smartphone manufacturer hugely cut the price of last year’s flagship phablet Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which was launched in September 2017. During its launch, the price is about Rs 67,900 and now it is selling at Rs 55,900 after the price cut of Rs 12,000.

The selling of handset is at Rs 55,900 on both Amazon and the official Samsung e-store. In addition to this HDFC credit card, users can further avail the cashback of Rs 4,000 on the purchase of Galaxy Note 8. This means about Rs 16000 less than the actual price.

To recollect, The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a still terrific phone which is the first company’s phone that came with a dual rear camera setup. It’s still an excellent device that lets you take portrait photos and use the stylus for writing, drawing and navigation. The rear camera includes two 12MP sensors, while the first one is a wide angled lens with f/1.7 aperture, the secondary camera includes a telephoto zoom lens with f/2.4 aperture. There is also an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Both cameras have optical stabilisation, which again, is quite rare. The heart-rate sensor and fingerprint sensor are placed beside the lenses.

The Super AMOLED display is gorgeous and looks its best sports a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ ‘Infinity’ display with 2960×1440 protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass. The phablet is powered by company’s own Exynos 8895 processor. The handset comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage with an expandable option by adding a microSD card.

The Note 8 comes with Android 7.1.1 “Nougat” with Samsung’s own custom user interface pre-installed. The S Pen offers expanded software features. The phablet is equipped with facial recognition and iris scanner along with this it also offers support for Samsung Pay. For power, it is fuelled with a 3,300 mAh battery under the hood.
