Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy Fold 2 Confirmed to Launch on February 11

Samsung is reportedly holding a Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11 where it is likely to unveil the new flagship Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Fold 2.

Previously, the company had published a promo video for where it hinted about the forthcoming launch event for a few minutes, but, the company deleted that post very quickly. However, XDA Developers downloaded the promo video before the deletion. In the video, Samsung clearly indicated that the company will unveil new products on February 11th Galaxy Unpacked event. The event will take place in San Francisco at 11 am.

As per the promo video, there will be two new devices that are going to be launched and it is expected to be the Galaxy S 11 and the new Galaxy Fold. 

Samsung is likely to change the name of the new Galaxy S11 series to the S20 series and the new series is expected to include three smartphones: vanilla Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The new Galaxy S20 series phones are likely to launch with display sizes from 6.2 inches up to 6.9 inches. The devices will be powered by either a new Samsung Exynos chipset or the Snapdragon 865 chipset depending on the regions. 

In terms of optics, the phones will pack an exciting camera setup on the rear side. The rear camera setup is said to include 108-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS, and a periscope-style camera module with 5x optical zoom. The features of the camera might include support for 8K video capture at 30fps, Director’s View, Night Hyperlapse, and Vertical Panorama, etc. In terms of display, all the phones are expected to come equipped with a curved Dynamic AMOLED display with a centrally-positioned hole-punch and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Talking about the Galaxy Fold 2, it is tipped to feature a clamshell design similar to that on the Motorola Razr (2019).
