As we look into the image the very first thing we notice is that hinge of the phone, besides the tablet-sized and phone-sized screens, as well as the cover display screen. The device got a rounded corner on all sides which look best in its design with minimal bezels. The hinge support akes the phone to bend in both ways where the renders show a thin hinge that arcs around both sections of the primary display. However, these speculations are to be taken a pinch of salt. As there is no official confirmation. There may be a chance that we could see the phone in a different way.
During the launch, Samsung confirmed that the foldable phone will get a primary 7.3-inch AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1536×2152 pixels. This, in turn, folds to give a 4.6-inch phone-sized secondary display with a resolution of 840×1960 pixels. Samsung said that it has worked with Google to redesign the UI for this unique form factor and most apps are expected to seamlessly switch from smartphone form factor to tablet form when the device goes on sale sometime in March.
And in the image, the secondary display of the foldable phone appears when the primary display is folded counterclockwise when the left end of the display is pushed downward. ultimately, one can spot the device’s ‘cover display’ if the phone is folded clockwise, by shutting both sides against one another.
The screens that showcased in the SDC 2018, the hinge appears speculative. At the event, It seems the Samsung presented a thicker hinge then the one we see now .however there are no details regarding the design.
According to a report, The new device is expected to shine once again in the Mobile World Congress in February to get another demo and start shipping to consumers in March. Samsung is working with the telecom operators in the US and is expected to be limited to a few devices initially. The Galaxy F is tipped to be priced around $1,770 (around Rs 1,27,500) when it goes on sale and the Korean company aims to sell at least one million units.
