Smartisan R1, the world's first phone with 1TB storage

Smartisan is not just a recognizable name in the industry. But this the company has revealed it’s a record-breaking flagship smartphone in the market. It has top-notch specifications and an amount of memory no other device in the market can match.

USP

The key selling point of the Smartisan R1 is its internal inbuilt storage. The most expensive version that comes with the 1TB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The rest of the hardware is quite decent too – Snapdragon 845 behind the wheel, 6GB of RAM for the 64GB and 128GB models and 8GB RAM for the top-end configurations with 128GB and 1TB of storage.

Display and Processor

The R1 bears a display of 6.17-inch pressure-sensitive display with pixel resolution of 1080 x 2424 and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The display itself offers 1500:1 contrast and 96% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

Camera

On the optics department, the smartphone is equipped with the 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture along with the earpiece. The main camera sensors on the back are 12MP Sony IMX363 with f/1.8 aperture aided by 4-axis OIS and a 20MP IMX350 unit with f/1.75 lens.

Battery

The Smartisan R1 comes with the support of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+, and is fueled with the battery capacity of 3,600 mAh which is a non removable one.
