Sony Xperia 1 III, the rumored successor to the Sony Xperia 1 II launched last year, has leaked. Ahead of the official launch, key specifications as well official renders of the Sony Xperia 1 III have been leaked online.
Tipster OnLeaks, aka Steve Hemmerstoffer, has shared new renders and some specifications of the Sony Xperia 1 III via Voice. In terms of design, the phone has a glass rear panel enclosed in a flat-edged metal frame. The device is seen to sport a flat 6.5-inch 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display with extremely thin bezels and a Slim forehead and chin.
On the rear, the new renders of the Xperia 1 III show a triple-camera setup with a 3D iToF sensor. The tipster also said that the camera setup will include a periscope/telephoto lens. This means that the new Xperia 1 III’s periscope camera will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 100x zoom camera.

Coming to the specifications, the device will have 5G support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a MicroSDXC slot for storage expansion, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual front-firing speakers, and a dedicated new shortcut key as seen on the Xperia Pro. The device will measure 161.6 x 67.3 x 8.4mm.
