Upcoming RealMe 3 or RealMe 3 Pro to Sport ‘VOOC Super Flash Charge’

RealMe, a sub-brand from Oppo recently stated that they are going to launch world’s first smartphone with MediaTek Helio P70 SoC and it could be the Realme 3 or the Realme 3 Pro. Even though, they didn’t reveal more information about the upcoming phones, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had confirmed that two or three Realme phones will hit the Indian market by March 2019.

Oppo Vooc Charging Technology

Now, the CEO of RealMe India Madhav Sheth shared an update about the upcoming phone on Twitter. One of the followers asked the CEO, whether VOOC charging will be available on upcoming RealMe phones. He responded by saying “why not” which hinted towards the fact that the upcoming RealMe 3 or RealMe 3 Pro might offer Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast charging.

What is VOOC charging?

VOOC (Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging) Charging system is a proprietary rapid-charge technology from OPPO which is the parent company of RealMe. With the VOOC charging technology user is able to charge VOOC charging enabled Oppo devices from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes. This rapid-charging technology uses a higher current than normal USB 2.0 charging.

Oppo’s recently launched F9 Pro is an affordable smartphone which offers VOOC charging technology. Oppo F9 Pro is priced at Rs. 23,990 in India.

Popular flagship smartphone maker, OnePlus also uses the same technology but is called as Dash Charging. Moreover, the Dash Charge is licensed from OPPO — OnePlus’ sister company. The Dash Charge allows the OnePlus devices to go from zero to 60% charge in just 35 minutes.

Recently, Madhav Sheth tweeted about the increase of dollar value against rupees and hinted at RealMe smartphones price hike in India after the Diwali to make up for the margins.
