Smartphone brands are striving a lot to withstand the competition in the market by bringing new features, specifications to the smartphones and with a decent price tag. And according to the current scenario, smartphone makers are playing a lot around cameras and processors. In the camera segment, Sony 48MP IMX586 sensor is the best in the industry for now – but it may get a tough competition in the coming days.
A new report suggests that South Korean smartphone maker, Samsung is bringing a 64MP camera sensor to its smartphones. The came would be capable to click 64 MP photos in normal condition and 16MP photos in low-light condition. For better photos, Samsung’s 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 uses pixel-merging Tetra cell technology. Samsung also gave real-time HDR support up to 100dB, in normal smartphone cameras, this will be around 60dB.
It also comes with Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) which reduces the noise and make photo colours precise. It also has a Super Phase Detect for faster autofocus and supports full HD. This camera is also capable to shoot slow-motion videos at a speed of 480 frames per second.
