Vivo S6 5G officially confirmed to launch on this date with dual selfie cameras

Vivo S6 5G has been part of leaks frequently. Now, the company confirmed the date of Vivo S6 5G launch, through its Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The company has revealed this information on the teaser image. The brand has shared a teaser image for the Vivo S6 5G smartphone which reveals that the upcoming smartphone will be launched on March 31 in home-country China.

That said, there is no official information available about the upcoming smartphone. The event will be exclusive to the Chinese market and the event is scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM China time (11:30 AM UTC). It is already confirmed that the smartphone will come with a 5G support. It is interesting to see, whether Vivo opted for MediaTek or Snapdragon chipset. The handset is likely to launch with support for dual-band 5G connectivity, including SA and NSA.

In terms of design, the Vivo S6 5G is said to feature a sleek design and it also said to ship with enhanced selfie experience with new Super Night Mode for the front. The phone will have a USB-C port and it will feature a dual-camera setup on the front located in the upper-right corner.

To recall, the predecessor Vivo S5 sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display (2400 x 1080 pixels). It features an in-screen fingerprint reader. Under the hood, the handset packs a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 712 octa-core SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of native storage.

On the software front, it runs Android 9 Pie and it is backed by a 4,010mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support. In terms of optics, the phone comes equipped with a quad-camera setup on the rear with a combination of a 48-megapixel lens with f/1.79 aperture, 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.48 aperture and 2-megapixel for macro with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel shooter with f/2.45 aperture.
