Vivo V9 which was launched earlier this year with 4GB variant has come up with a new Variant which is Dubbed as Vivo V9 6GB variant. The new device has unveiled by the company yesterday with no word whether it is available in other world markets and India. However, the Chinese manufacturer has released the new variant in Indonesia. Notably, the 6GB RAM variant also brings a few other changes in terms of specifications.
The new variant compared to the standard V9 features Snapdragon 626 SoC, the V9 6GB is powered by Snapdragon 660. And there is also a notable change in the camera configuration as well where the V9 6GB comes with 13MP+2MP dual rear setup and 12MP front shooter with Dual Pixel sensor. For comparison, the V9 comes with 16MP+5MP dual rear setup and 24MP selfie shooter. Color options for the new model include red and black.
Apart from above changes rest of the V9 6GB specs are similar to those of the standard V9. The device has been launched in Indonesia, where it carries a price tag of IDR 4,299,000, which currently translates to $300.
Pre-orders are now live and run through July 4. You can purchase the handset either through official Vivo online store or retailer JD.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo V9 6GB runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) IPS ‘FullView Display 2.0’ with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It delivers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
For snappers, the Vivo V9 6GB comes with the primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor coupled with f/2.2 aperture. It offers an ‘Ultra HDR’ mode. On the front, it features a 12-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. It also boasts the features such as the AI-based Face Beautify app for the selfie and video call beautification, and also ‘AR Stickers’, apart from a ‘Portrait’ lighting effect and Bokeh depth-of-field effect. The new V9 6GB model also comes with Face Access 2.0, which will help unlock the phone using face recognition.
