Vivo X50 series made its debut in China last month and so far, the company has launched three X50 series smartphones: Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro+. While a report published earlier had claimed X50 Pro+ will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, the brand has now officially confirmed that the Vivo X50 series will debut in India on July 16. 

Vivo X50 Series India Launch

The smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart and Amazon India. Moreover, to know the phones getting launched, as well as their pricing and availability details, we’ll have to wait for the official launch event.

The vanilla X50 model starts at 3498 yuan (approx. Rs 37,200) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It goes up to 3898 yuan (approx. Rs 41,380) for the 8GB + 256GB variant.

The Vivo X50 Pro, on the other hand, starts at 4298 yuan (approx. Rs 45,700) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and goes up to 4698 yuan (approx. Rs 49,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model. Vivo X50 Pro+ is priced at 4998 yuan (approx. Rs 53,000) for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage while its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage costs 5498 yuan (approx. Rs 59,000). There is also a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option that is priced at 5998 yuan (approx. Rs 63,700). It is unclear whether Vivo plans to unveil all variants of the X50 series in India. 

Vivo X50 Specifications

The Vivo X50 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and a 4200mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It ships with Android 10 with FunTouch OS 10.5 on top. The device has a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels along with a 90Hz refresh rate, 105 percent NTSC color gamut, DCI-P3, and up to 1300nits brightness.

There is the quad rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary lens with four-axis OIS, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, 13-megapixel portrait lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.48 aperture. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.

The phone has up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It supports 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C, and dual-SIM support.

Vivo X50 Pro Specifications

The Vivo X50 Pro ships with FunTouch OS 10.5 on top of Android 10. It offers a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels along with a 90Hz refresh rate, 105 percent NTSC color gamut, DCI-P3, and up to 1300nits brightness. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 765 SoC along with Adreno 620 GPU. It is backed by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

It comes equipped with a 4315mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. There is the quad rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary lens with a four-axis OIS, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, 8-megapixel periscope lens with up to 60x digital zoom and a 13-megapixel portrait lens. For selfies, you get a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.48 lens.

In terms of connectivity, the handset supports 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C and dual-SIM support.

Vivo X50 Pro+ Specifications

Vivo X50 Pro+ comes with a 50-megapixel Samsung SN1 rear camera. The quad rear camera setup also includes a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2.5cm macro, 13-megapixel periscope lens with up to 60x digital zoom and a 32-megapixel portrait lens (50mmm equivalent). It also an optical anti-shock that acts as a gimbal system. For selfies, it relies on a 32-megapixel shooter with wide f/2.4 aperture. There is a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels along with a 120Hz refresh rate, 105 percent NTSC color gamut, DCI-P3, and up to 1300nits brightness.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. It comes with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10 OS.

The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 4350mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. Connectivity options on the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band), GLONASS, dual-SIM, and USB Type-C port.
