It seems that Vivo has quietly raised prices for its two Y-series smartphones in India. A price hike has been announced for Vivo’s new Y20A and Y20G smartphones that were launched earlier this year. Both of these phones are available for below Rs 15,000.

In India, Vivo Y20A was launched for Rs 11,490 with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The price of the device has been raised by Rs 500. The device is now available for Rs 11,990. The phone was launched in two colors – Nebula Blue and Dawn White.

There are two storage configurations available for the Y20G – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The price of both variants has been increased by Rs 1,000. The base model with 4GB RAM now costs Rs 13,990 instead of its launch price of Rs 12,990. A variant with 6GB RAM costs Rs 15,990. You can choose from Obsidian Black or Purist Blue colors.

Vivo Y20A sports a 6.51-inch Halo iView display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone boots Android 11 OS with in-house FunTouch OS 11 skin on top. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual-SIM card slots, and micro-USB. micro-USB port. The company claims that the side-mounted fingerprint scanner of the phone can unlock the phone in just 0.26 seconds.

The Vivo Y20G features a 6.51-inch Halo iView HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and will be available in a single configuration. The whole unit will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

The Vivo Y20G features a triple-camera setup on the back and a single camera on the front. The rear setup comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/1.8 lens.

It ships with Android 11 OS with FunTouch OS 11 skin running on top of it. In terms of connectivity, the company has given features like 4G VoLTE, 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device measures 164.41×76.32×8.41mm and weighs 192 grams.
