Want to Get Better at PUBG? This New Training Mode Will Help You

Popular game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds aka PUBG is now adding a training mode within the game with the aim to fix issues including slow performance and cheating within the game.

Dissimilar to Playground Mode, new Training Mode can adapt between five and 20 players at once and reveals its own unique map. This new 2x2km area features a shooting range, a race track for putting PUBG’s vehicles to the test, scattered targets where players can practice parachute landings, plus areas for vaulting and close-quarters combat.

However, this new Training has not launched yet. PUBG Corp. expects that the new Training Mode will be added to the game within the end of this September. The world team leads for PUBG Corp, Dave Curd stated that training mode is intended to provide new and casual PUBG players including more serious ones.

“We wanted to go beyond what players were asking for, so we didn’t want the map to be just a shooting range, but an open, living map where players can test a variety of skills to their heart’s content,” added Dave Osei, a senior designer of PUBG.

The new PUBG Training Mode will include:

  • Firing ranges of 400, 800 and 1,000 meters.
  • Free-standing stationary and moving targets, both in and outside buildings.
  • Ranges for melee and throwables practice.
  • A parkour area, a close-quarters combat course and an indoor close-quarters combat range.
  • A long track, racing track, off-road course and stunt ramps.
  • A water vehicle course with ramps.
  • Tables of equipment for melee weapons, guns, attachments, gear, ammunition and throwables.
