The alleged images hint at a design that is in line with what had leaked on TENAA recently. The overall design is very similar to the original Black Shark. The bezel design around the phone seems to be not reduced compared to the first gen piece. As this gaming phone, this may not relate to the gaming junkies as they need some flexibility to hold the phone better either vertically or horizontally.

Apart from this, the position of the earpiece is no longer aligned with the front camera but much closer to the top bezel and has been widened in size. This may be to provide immersive gaming experience through more amplified stereo sound with an increase in volume. The bottom chin of the device is now empty as the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear of the device.

On the rear side, The upcoming smartphone seems to have received some changes. The patterned plastic cover has now been replaced by a flat-finished glass back with a Black Shark logo with RGB lights. These lights are said to be customizable to do multiple tasks and change color schemes based on the user’s choice.

On the camera design, the position of the dual-rear camera has also been modified. It has now moved to the upper central area and aligned vertically in a style similar to the one found on the Pocophone F1. On the right edge are the volume rocker and power button. But a third physical button can also be seen that is expected to work as an activator or direct access to performance enhancement modes for the most demanding games.

Expected specifications

The Xiaomi Black shark 2 could flaunt a 5.99-inch screen, and armed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. It could feature a dual 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, dual front-powering stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, and a 4,000mAh battery. Leaks have hinted towards a price tag of RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 32,000) for the Black Shark 2.
