Xiaomi India Hikes Prices of Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Mi TVs and 10000mAh Power Bank Up to Rs. 2,000

Popular affordable smartphone maker, Xiaomi hiked the price of its two new phones – Redmi 6A and Redmi 6. Along with these two smartphones, the company also hiked the price of selected TV and power bank model. Xiaomi said that the new prices would be effective starting 11 November.

Xiaomi India said in a statement on Twitter, according to which, due to the Rupee value against the Dollar depreciating by almost 15% since the beginning of the year, Xiaomi has to incur an increase in input cost which has resulted in an increase of selling prices for a few products when compared to their launch prices.

The price of entry-level phone Redmi 6A for the base model with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage has been increased by Rs 600. So, it will cost Rs 6,599 from November 11. The 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will now cost Rs 7,499.

Coming to the Redmi 6, the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will now cost Rs 8,499, this phone was launched at Rs. 7,999.

Talking about the price hike of Xiaomi TV’s, the recently launched two new LED TVs have also seen their prices increased. Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32″ and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49″ will now cost Rs 15,999 and Rs 31,999, respectively, an increase of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively.

At last, Xiaomi even hiked the price of one model of their power bank and Mi Power Bank 2i (10,000mAh) price has been increased by Rs 100 and will cost Rs 899. This power bank was previously launched at Rs. 799.

Recently, another Chinese company and RealMe hiked the price of RealMe C1 and it is now priced at Rs 7,999 while the RealMe 2 (3GB RAM variant) is now available for Rs 9,499.
