Xiaomi finally unveiled the Redmi 6 series in India by launching 3 new smartphones named Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. All these three phones feature AI-powered face unlock feature, dedicated microSD card slot, and dual VoLTE. Further, all these phones come with MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and company promised to give MIUI 10 update in future.
Redmi 6 specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and an 80.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Redmi 6 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage. The device comes with dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion of Storage up to 256GB.
On the camera department, the Redmi 6 has dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, equipped with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25-micron pixels, and Portrait Mode. This phone will be available for buyers in Amazon India and Mi.com on September 11. Potential buyers will get Rs. 500 discounts on purchases made using HDFC Bank credit or debit cards while buying the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro models.
