Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with Snapdragon 865 to Launch in Q1 2020

A few days ago, Xiaomi’s Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman Lin Bin confirmed the existence of the Mi 10 Pro. Now, according to a new tip, the Mi 10 Pro launch may take place only in Q1 2020. This means the Mi 9 Pro successor will launch somewhere between January and March.

Lin Bin also said that the Mi 10 will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC, one of the first phones to use the new SoC. To recall, Qualcomm recently announced the latest flagship chipsets Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G in this year’s Snapdragon Technology Summit.

Even though the exact launch date of the Mi 10 Pro is not revealed officially, it is expected to be launched in early 2020 either in CES or MWC event. Bin also announced that Xiaomi plans to launch over 10 5G-compatible smartphones in 2020. He did not announce the names or any other details about the phones.

On the other hand, other smartphone makers Oppo, Motorola and ZTE have also announced that their upcoming devices will come with a Snapdragon 865 processor. Oppo’s next flagship with Snapdragon 865 SoC will be announced in Q1 2020 while Lenovo-owned Motorola is reportedly launching Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 865 powered 5G phones in 2020. Meanwhile, another Chinese brand ZTE said that their upcoming device with 5G support, Snapdragon 865 and X55 will be announced in the first half of 2020. Nokia’s parent company HMD Global also tipped launch Snapdragon 765 SoC packed phone in early next year.
