Xiaomi Mi A3 Launched with Snapdragon 665 SoC: Specifications, Price

Xiaomi Mi A3 has finally reached the European market. Yes. The latest Android One smartphone from Xiaomi called Mi A3 has been launched in Spain. The device is a successor to the last year’s Mi A2. In terms of hardware specifications, the new Mi A3 is almost similar to the Mi CC9e that was launched in China earlier this month. However, the major difference is the Mi A3 is an Android One handset that gives a pure stock Android experience, unlike Mi CC9e.

The handset has a 6.08-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 720×1520 pixels. There’s a teardrop notch on top of the display and Xiaomi also added a 2 Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Under the hood, the Mi A3 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset which is an octa-core processor. The phone comes in two storage options- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. In addition, there’s a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

As for the cameras, the company has added a triple rear camera setup that has a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor for depth sensing. On the front, we get to see a 32-megapixel shooter. The device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and it’s backed by a 4030mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As we mentioned earlier, Xiaomi has launched the Mi A3 in three different colors: “Not Just Blue”, “More Than White”, and “Kind of Gray”. The price of the 4GB + 64GB variant is kept as EUR 249 (approx. Rs. 19,200), while the 4GB + 128GB variant can be purchased for EUR 279 (approx. Rs. 21,500) in Spain. However, there is no word on Mi A3 India launch or price.
