Xiaomi has launched Mi A1 and Mi A2 earlier under its Mi A-Series lineup. The unique feature of this series is that they are the only smartphones from the company to run Android One. Mi A1 and Mi A2 were the best picks for the people who prefer stock android than MIUI.
Xiaomi is planning to update this lineup by launching Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. It is also rumoured that this upcoming series will be based on the recently launched Mi CC9 series in China.
Based on the report by MySmartPrice, it revealed that Mi A3 is code-named as bamboo_sprout which is expected to come with a Snapdragon 730 processor, on the other hand, Mi A3 Lite which is code-named as cosmos_sprout will be powered by Snapdragon 675 SoC.
It also indicates that the Mi A3 will be faster than than the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e which were launched with Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 665 chipsets respectively.
The report also reveals that the Mi A3 will be unveiled soon globally but the official date is yet to be confirmed by the company. Both the smartphones are also rumoured to come with a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary camera. The leaked report also clarifies that these smartphones will be Android One based and runs stock Android Pie OS.
As per the leaked information, Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite are expected to come with similar specifications of Mi CC9 series. So we can expect Mi A3 to come with a 6.39-inch FHD+ display and the Mi A3 Lite may have a 6.01-inch FHD+ screen. Both the devices will be backed by a 4,030mAh battery and the Mi A3 only will come with 18W fast charging support.
