Xiaomi Redmi K30 to Feature 120Hz Display, Side-mounted Fingerprint Sensor and More

Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 series is confirmed to launch very soon but the leaks simply cease to stop. Now, few highlighting features of the phone has been leaked online. This new leak has given us a sneak peek at what we can expect from the upcoming Redmi K series.

According to the report by XDA Developers, the Redmi K30 might come with code-name ‘phoenix’. Moreover, the report states that the MIUI 11 version comes with a new method called ‘isBroadSideFingerprint’, which refers to the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device.

Furthermore, it will come with a 120Hz display. Users will have an option to choose between the standard 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz refresh rate on the handset. Talking about the camera, the smartphone is reported to pack a 60-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the Redmi K30 5G phone will be launched in December this year. It is also possible that the company might announce the Redmi K30 5G variant this year, but its availability may be scheduled for January 2020.

The Redmi K30 5G series phones are teased to come with support for 5G standalone and non-standalone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks. Based on earlier reports and rumors, the other specs on the K30 series will include a quad camera setup on the rear, large battery (4500mAh-5000mAh) with 30W/40W super-fast charging technology, UFS3.0 flash technology support and the latest MIUI 11 OS.
