Asus has launched its Asus 8Z smartphone in India. This new phone is nothing but a Zenfone 8 that was released globally in June 2021. Here are the specifications, price, and availability details.

In India, the Asus 8Z is offered in one configuration 一 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. Priced at Rs 42,999, the smartphone will go on the first sale from March 7 at 12pm. It will be available on Flipkart in Obsidian Black and Horizon Silver colour options.

In terms of display, Asus 8Z boasts a 5.9-inch super AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, HDR playback, 1,100nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection

As for the processor, the phone has a Snapdragon 888 flagship processor with up to 2.84GHz clock speed coupled with Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB UFS 3.1. The handset also supports multiple 5G network bands in India.

In the camera department, there is a dusk camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, PFAF, and OIS as well as a 12MP Sony IMX363 lens. The main camera is capable of recording up to 8K videos and up to 4K HDR and the 12MP can record up to 4K. On the front is a 12MP Sony IMX663 dual-pixel autofocus camera. Software-wise, the phone runs the Android 11 operating system in India.

The phone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. Additionally, it includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare in flagship devices. There is also a dual stereo speaker setup with sound by Dirac, support for Hi-Res audio, IP68 dust, an In-display fingerprint sensor, NavIC, and water-resistant rating. The handset measures 148 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm and weighs 169 grams.
