As part of the ROG Phone 5 series, Asus has released ROG Phone 5S and the ROG Phone 5s Pro smartphones in China and Taiwan. Read on to know specifications, pricing, and other details.

Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro, ROG Phone 5s Pricing, Availability

ROG Phone 5s is priced at TWD 29,990 (approximately Rs 80,000) for the base model, which has 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. A version with 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs TWD 33,990 (approx Rs 90,000). It will be offered in Phantom Black and Aurora White colour options. 

When it comes to the Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro, the single variant with 18GB RAM + 512GB storage costs TWD 37,990 (approx Rs 1,00,000). It is only available in Phantom Black colour.

Asus ROG Phone 5s Series Specifications

Asus ROG Phone 5s series features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2448 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 20.4:9, 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch-sampling rate, 1ms response rate, HDR10+ and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, which is paired with Adreno 660 GPU. Furthermore, there is 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Featuring a 6000mAh battery with 65W HyperCharge fast charging, the phone can charge 4200mAh (70%) in 30 minutes and 100% in 52 minutes. The device has an in-screen fingerprint scanner. As far as software is concerned, the phones are loaded with Android 11 out of the box.

This ROG Phone 5 gaming phone has a triple-camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with ultra-wide-angle and a 5-megapixel macro lens. There is also a 24-megapixel front-facing camera.

Among the connectivity features are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-SIM, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The device measures 173 x 77 x 9.90mm and weighs 238grams. Other features include dual front-facing stereo speakers and ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5 and grip press.

Both devices have the same specification, but the ROG Phone 5s Pro has an additional PAMOLED ROG Vision display. This display shows you notifications about incoming calls, battery status, etc. The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate had a monochrome display, while the ROG Phone 5s Pro has a colour display. Additionally, the 5s Pro comes with two touch sensors on the back for gaming controls. The ROG Phone 5s doesn’t come with this feature.

Moreover, the Pro model includes an AeroActive Cooler 5. This accessory straps on a cooling fan to the devicw, along with two additional buttons.
