The Taiwanese company, Asus is all set to launch its premium smartphone Asus Zenfone 5Z Snapdragon 845 chipset In India Today. The company is hosting a launch event in New Delhi this afternoon. The event starts at 12:30 PM IST. The handset exclusively available in Flipkart. To recall, Asus was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress in February. The device will be available in three versions: 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage Rs 29,999, 8GB RAM/128GB storage for 32,999, and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage Rs 36,999.
The pricing of the smartphone makes the ZenFone 5Z for its giant Snapdragon 845 powered device which makes its dominance in Indian market a perfect competitor to the Oneplus 6.

The device is likely a competitor to the Oneplus 6 in all aspects. The new handset sports a 6.2-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen, claiming 90 percent screen to body ratio.
Coming to the design the back case is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass and it has notch above display like Apple-iPhone style. The back houses a fingerprint reader. It measures 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 165g. It also flaunts an all-glass unibody design.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is the biggest selling point here which is a threat to the Oneplus 6. Up to now OnePlus 6 is the only other device that offers the flagship chipset in the country.
The ZenFone 5Z will be offered in three storage options: 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage and top-end 8GB RAM variant with 256GB storage.
For shutterbugs, It offers dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. The camera is aided by AI scene detection, which is capable of detecting 16 types of scenarios. For selfies, the ZenFone 5Z is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
The device is backed by a 3300mAh battery, the Zenfone 5Z supports ASUS BoostMaster and AI charging tech.
