Previously, we had reported a few exploded Samsung smartphones. Within a year after that incident, another Samsung smartphone is exploded in the company’s home country South Korea. Apart from blasted images, there is no other information available about the explosion of this Samsung device.
In a shocking turn of events, a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G user named Lee reported that his device exploded. The smartphone was placed on a table when smoke engulfs it, said Lee, the owner of burned Galaxy S10 5G. The severe burns with the cracked display on both the front and back side of the device as you can see in the image.
However, the company denied the compensations and stated that the damage is done due to external impact. After carefully inspecting the Galaxy S10 damage, Samsung refused to refund the smartphone which comes with a price tag of $1226 (approx. Rs. 85,312).
To recall, Samsung banned Note 7 in 2017 after multiple fire cases. While this is the first time we’re hearing about an explosion to be reported about the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, we did report on Samsung Note 9 blast.
It is worth to mention that Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S10 5G in South Korea on April 5. The smartphone comes with a price tag of $1300 (approx. Rs. 90,461) for 256 GB storage variant and it is expected to launch in the US. In South Korea, three major telecom caries – SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus provides 5G services.
Talking about the specifications, the device packed with Exynos 9820 octa-core processor and it features a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display with a pixel density of 505 PPI. In terms of optics, the smartphone has a triple rear camera setup comprises – 16MP ultrawide, 12MP telephoto, and a 12 MP wide-angle camera. Up front, there is a 10 MP selfies camera for selfies.
