Last month, The Internet giant Google had announced a redesign of wear OS which delivered some major improvements to the platform. And now, the update is finally rolling out to all the Android-powered Smartwatches where the company stated that it is rolling out the update to all the compatible wearables. That means any device that was released after the announcement of Android Wear 2.0 and even those that got updated to Android Wear 2.0. The list does not include the devices which won’t get the new update are LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, Moto 360 (1st gen), Sony Smartwatch 3, and the original Asus Zenwatch.

If you are eager to know what the new update key changes are as given- Wear OS 2.1 changes the way you navigate around, with a swipe from the top accessing quick settings, and a swipe from the bottom taking you to your notifications. A swipe to the left will get you into Google Fit, while a swipe to the right brings up Google Assistant, which too has been tweaked to be more “proactive”. It now provides the user with useful and timely information like traffic updates and potential flight delays(Google Now cards).

Further Google Assistant suggests the users try out features they may not have in the past. A ‘smart suggestions’ feature also helps the user find a restaurant close to their hotel or check the weather when they reach a new destination. All these updated features soon to be the rollout to boost usability in Wear OS-based smartwatches by quite a bit.

According to the Google’s blog post, The new update for wear Os is seen in next month. The update is expected to be delivered automatically to eligible smartwatches. Though Google is not extensive sApple’s smartwatch approach we believe that it e has injected Wear OS-running smartwatches with a new lease of life.
