Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has unveiled the new smartphone Magic 2. The smartphone offers great specs — including an in-display fingerprint sensor, 6-cameras, Kirin 980 SoC and sliding camera mechanism like Mi Mix 3. The Honor Magic 2 has reasonably high specs for its price range. It features two triple cameras: 16 megapixels, 24 megapixels, and 16 megapixels for the rear, and 16 megapixels, 2 megapixels, and 2 megapixels for the front.
Honor Magic 2 Specifications
The Honor Magic 2 features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED screen of 2340×1080-pixel resolution with 19.5:9 ratio with a curved 2.5D glass on top. The device is powered by the company’s Kirin 980 processor. The same processor was also used in the Huawei’s Mate 20 series phones. Coming to the camera department, on the rear, there is triple camera setup includes a 16-megapixel snapper (f/1.8 aperture), 24-megapixel Black & White monochrome sensor (f/1.8 aperture), and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture). Up front, there a 16-megapixel sensor (f/2.0 aperture) and two 2-megapixel depth sensors (f/2.4 aperture each). The Honor Magic 2 also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and the top-end variant with 8GB RAM + 512GB storage model will be the only variant to come with 3D face unlock feature.
The Honor Magic 2 runs Huawei’s custom skin EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie and comes with a company’s own virtual assistant called Yoyo. The smartphone is backed by a 3,400mAh battery and it comes with a 40-watt fast-charging tech, which charges 50 percent in just 15 minutes, and 85 percent in 30 minutes.
Honor Magic 2 Price and Availability
The Honor Magic 2 launched in three storage variants — 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Coming to the pricing, the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB variant is priced at CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs 40,200), 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage for CNY 4,299(approx. Rs 45,500), 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage for CNY 4,799 (approx. Rs 50,800). The smartphone will be available for the buyers in China from November 6.
