Huawei Mate 20 Pro renders and specifications leak ahead of launch tomorrow

Huawei’s latest high-end smartphone is all set to debut in London on October 16 that is tomorrow, but ahead of launch Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s complete specifications and image renders have leaked in detail. To recollect Huawei’s smartphones brought great improvements in the android industry by its Huawei P20 Pro earlier this year.

According to the leaked image by the WinFuture, the handset comes with a wider notch, unlike the trending waterdrop design. The flagship phone is following the design of iPhone X and iPhone Xs. The notch will reportedly house additional depth camera sensor. The phone will have a Leica-branded triple camera system at the back, though the lenses will be arranged in a square instead of a straight line. The smartphone likely doesn’t possess any fingerprint sensor on its back that suggests it could be switching to the in-display fingerprint sensor.
As per a recent report, Huawei Mate 20 Pro price in Europe could start at 999 euros for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Alongside, the phone could be available in most countries, though there is no clarity on which markets will get the device at the time of launch but pre-orders are said to begin immediately and sales could begin from November 5. The Mate 20 pro is said to arrive in black, blue and green colour variants and there will also be a twilight colour option.

As per leaked specs, The Mate 20 Pro is said to feature a 6.39-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. This is the company’s first smartphone that comes with a Quad HD+ resolution. On the back, the smartphone features a glass back that will enable support for wireless charging.
The smartphone ticks by a Kirin 980 CPU, which is an octa-core CPU based on TSMC’s 7nm process and has 6.9 billion transistors under the hood, similar to Apple’s A12 Bionic. The folks at WinFuture.de claim that Huawei will bring its proprietary “Nano-Memory Card” format to the Mate 20 Pro that will enable storage expansion up to 256GB. The Nano-Memory Card by the company is said to come in the size of a Nano-SIM. The smartphone will come up with a storage option is expected to start with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and might go as high as 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.
For photographs, there is a triple rear camera setup comprising of a primary 40-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture and support for Light Fusion technology. The main camera will be supported by a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, which will act as a telephoto camera. The third sensor is believed to be a new 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. It is surprising that Huawei is dropping monochrome sensor for an ultra wide-angle lens.

The handset is expected to be backed by a 4,200mAh battery and support SuperCharge 2.0 fast charge technology. The phone will offer wireless charging as well, it could also come with an AirPods-like set for earphones called Freebuds 2 Pro, for which Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be wireless chargers. Huawei P20 Pro will be dustproof and waterproof, thanks to IP68 rating.
