Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro Launched in China

Chinese smartphone brand Huawei has just launched its latest Mate 30 series in its domestic market. The company unveiled the latest Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro smartphones in yesterday’s event in China. Interestingly, the smartphones are priced in China lower than the international market.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro Specifications

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro features a 6.53-inch Flex OLED display with 2K+ (2,400×1,176 pixels) resolution. It has a waterfall screen with 18.4:9 aspect ratio, 88-degree curved design and in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering the device is a Kirin 990 coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs Android 10-based EMUI. The company has also added multi-screen collaboration on the smartphone but it is likely limited to Huawei-branded laptops. There is 3D face unlock, IP68 water and dust resistance.

The device gets juice from 4,500mAh battery that supports Huawei SuperCharge 40W wired and Wireless Huawei SuperCharge 27W charging. It also has a new reverse charging technology allowing 15W charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, Huawei Mate 30 Pro comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup comprises 40-megapixel optically stabilized “Cine” primary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and f/1.6 aperture, a 40-megapixel RYYB sensor with f/1.6 aperture and up to 4,09,600 ISO, an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens and support for 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 30x digital zoom and a 3D depth sensing. The company also showcased Huawei CameraKit for deep integration with DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and Profoto C1 and C1 Plus portable lights.

On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera features on the phone include ultra low-light video, ultra slow-motion video at 7680 fps, real-time cinematic bokeh, Huawei AIS for ultra-stable recording and 4K HDR+ time-lapse. The 7680 fps video is 8 times slower than 960fps.

There is also a 5G variant of the Mate 30 Pro which has two difference compared to the 4G version. The Mate 30 Pro 5G variant packs Kirin 990 5G SoC and it has a Dual SIM 5G support.

Speaking about the Huawei Mate 30 boasts a 6.62-inch rigid OLED display with Full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) resolution and IP53 certification. Under the hood, it has a Kirin 990 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It packs a 4,200mAh battery with support for Huawei SuperCharge 40W wired and SuperCharge 27W wireless charging.

Just like the Pro variant, the Mate 30 also runs on EMUI skin that is based on Android 10. In terms of optics, it features 40-megapixel main camera paired with a 16-megapixel super-wide-angle and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. Similar to Mate 30 Pro, the Mate 30 also supports 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, there is a 24-megapixel selfie camera.

The Huawei Mate 30 5G variant is also launched which packs Kirin 990 5G SoC with support for Dual 5G SIM. Moreover it has 3.5mm audio socket.

Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro Price in China

The Mate 30 4G is priced at CNY 3,999 for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant. The 8GB RAM variant comes with a price tag of CNY 4,299.

The Mate 30 5G is CNY 4,999 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and CNY 5,499 with 8/256GB.

Coming to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 4G it is priced at CNY 5,799 for the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and CNY 6,299 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Mate 30 Pro 5G will be available for buyers for the price tag of CNY 6,899 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and CNY 7,899 with 8/512GB.

The Mate 30 RS is priced at CNY 12,999 for the lone 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage variant.
