The Chinese giant Huawei has been working on the successor of Huawei P30 series dubbed as the Huawei P40 series. The smartphones from this series have also been leaked multiple times revealing some details. However, a new leak spills the beans on camera specifications as well as renders.
Popular tipster Evan Blass has published a render of the Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro that shows off the front and back design of the phone. The render confirms that the phones will be launched two color options: Silver and Dark Grey. On the rear, the phone has a triple-camera setup along with a dual-LED flash.
Upfront, the Huawei P40 sports a flat display, but it seems Huawei P40 Pro will feature a curved display with no bezels around the edges. There’s also a dual punch-hole to house the selfie cameras. The left side of the phone is seen to house the volume rocker and the power on/off button.
According to a report by Huawei Central, there will be a premium variant called Huawei p40 Premium Edition and it will come with a Penta-camera setup on the rear alongside two telephoto lenses. The Premium Edition is also reported to launch alongside Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro.

To talk about the specs, the Penta camera setup on the Huawei P40 Premium edition will comprise of a 52-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, OIS, a periscope 240mm lens with 10x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, 3x optical zoom, a 40-megapixel wide-angle/cine lens with f/1.8 aperture and a ToF 3D depth sensor. There will be a 32-megapixel primary and ToF 3D sensors for selfies on the front.
Huawei P40 Premium edition reportedly packs a 6.7-inch OLED display with a screen resolution of 3160 x 1440 pixels and it will come equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be fuelled by the Kirin 990 5G SoC. It will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro, on the other hand, will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
