iQOO U5 goes official with 120Hz display, 50MP camera

The iQOO U5 5G smartphone has been announced in China with Snapdragon 695 SoC. the main highlighting features of the phone are 120Hz refresh rate, 5G support, 50MP rear camera, and 5,000mAh battery.

iQOO U5 Price, Availablity

Unfortunately, Vivo’s sub-brand has not revealed the price yet. It is available in three variants – 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. It will be offered in Dark Black, Silver White, and Magic Blue colour options.

In China, pre-orders for the phone will begin on December 24 at JD.com and the Vivo online store. No information is available yet regarding the smartphone’s availability in India.

iQOO U5 Specifications

iQoo U5 features a 6.58-inch full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, the smartphone has up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

It has a dual-camera system at the back that includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front of the phone houses an 8-megapixel sensor in a waterdrop notch.

Furthermore, the phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and support for facial recognition.

The iQoo U5 runs on Android 11 based on iQoo 1.0 skin. In terms of connectivity, the iQoo U5 offers 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
