Jio GigaFiber Coverage in India: List of Cities Eligible for the Broadband Service

A number of people are eagerly waiting for Jio Broadband service since its official announcement on August 15. Jio said that the company will be installing the Jio GigaFiber broadband services based on the demand factor. Jio planned to extend the broadband service to over 1,100 cities in India after the full launch of the service.

According to the reports JioGigaFibre is going live in these cities: Bangalore, Chennai, Ranchi, Pune, Indore, Thane, Bhopal, Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Allahabad, Raipur, Nagpur, Ghaziabad, Ludhiana, Madurai, Nashik, Faridabad, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Agra, Meerut, Rajkot, Srinagar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Kota, and Solapur. The company has confirmed the availability of the broadband service in nearly 900 cities and after the full commercial launch of JioGigaFibre more than 1100 cities will get affordable plans of Jio GigaFiber.

As we said earlier, there is no confirmation from the company about the availability of Jio GigaFiber broadband services in these cities. Furthermore, few reports claimed that the Jio GigaFiber plans and prices will start from Rs. 500 and the base plan will begin with 50 Mbps speed and 300GB of monthly data.

The registration process for the Jio GigaFibre has already started on Jio.com and the preview offer of the Jio GigaFibre has already began in some cities offering free 300GB data for the first three months. This is part of the Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer under which, users will get free 100GB monthly data at 100Mbps for the first three months from the date of getting a new connection. The security deposit of Rs 4500 is taken for the ONT device (GigaHub Home Gateway) provided by Jio. Moreover, the deposit will be refunded if you choose to discontinue using the JioGigaFiber services, provided the installed devices are returned in good and working condition. Jio will contact you to get its Jio GigaFibre broadband connection at the home or office address you gave during registration.

Talking about the speed, the recent reports claimed that Jio GigaFiber’s speed stands at 3.48 Mbps, which is marginally faster than other broadband providers.
