Oppo A7 annouced with waterdrop notch and sturdy 4,230 mAh battery

Oppo A7 after appearing with few rumors and leaks since a month finally came to real life. The Chinese mobile maker launched one more smartphone which is called OPPO A7. The smartphone got Waterdrop notch which was first introduced by the company itself from Oppo R17 earlier this year. Now, the company seems to be sticking with this style for their newer phones as well. The midrange smartphone with the Snapdragon 450 SoC, the aforementioned waterdrop notch, and a larger than the average 4,230mAh capacity battery.

Talking about specifications, The new handset had similar hardware internals as that of Realme 2 that was launched back in August.

The new handset sports a 6.2-inch display having a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. The display also has a waterdrop-shaped notch up top which has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3% which isn’t all that bad. The company also says that A7’s display has an anti-reflective coating that increases the brightness of the screen by 35%.

On the back, it has a mirror finish panel with textures for a more premium look. It also sports that should help with grip and comfort.

On the hardware internals, he OPPO A7 comes with Snapdragon 450 SoC which is backed by Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone comes in two configurations – 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage, and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. However, you can also expand the storage up to 256 GB via microSD card.

For photos, there’s a dual camera set up at the back located in the top-left corner in a horizontal orientation. This dual camera setup is a combination of one 13 MP and one 2 MP camera. And, for selfies and video calls, there’s a 16 MP single snapper on the front housed inside the notch.

The OPPO A7 runs ColorOS 5.2 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It also comes with a feature called Hyper Boost for better gaming performance. The device also ships with a huge 4230 mAh battery which is one of its biggest highlights.

Pricing

The smartphone is available in China and Nepal from November 22 and starts with a CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,500) for its sole 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant, and is available in Fresh Powder, Lake Light Green, and Amber Gold color options.
