Some renders of the LG’s upcoming flagship LG G8X have been spotted on the internet, all but confirming the design of the smartphone ahead of its launch on IFA 2019 tech trade show. PriceBaba, in collaboration with OnLeaks, posted 360-degree renders of the LG G8X flagship. The latest set of renders reaffirm that the LG G8X will be an enhanced version of LG G8 ThinQ that was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in February.
The leaked renders give us a look at the phone design. The front of the device has a waterdrop notch and a small chin at the bottom, while the volume rockers are located at the left side and the power button is on the right-side frame of the device. There is also a dedicated key below the volume buttons that can be used to access the Google Assistant.
LG G8X: Render Images
The rear panel of the smartphone features a dual-camera setup accompanied by an LED flash and some sensors. Interestingly, there is no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the phone, which confirms the presence of in-display fingerprint sensor. Thus, the LG G8X could be the first LG smartphone to come equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
According to OnLeaks, the front notch of the phone has less space to house facial recognition sensors. There are a loudspeaker grille, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom. Furthermore, the existence of the earpiece just above the front camera might be a hint that the LG could be ditching the Crystal Sound OLED speaker that emitted through the display.
