LG is planning to bring the new mid-range smartphones lineup in India to compete with players like Xiaomi, Samsung and Realme in the market. The company is planning to re-enter the market by launching the LG W Smartphone series in India.
The upcoming LG W series is teased on Amazon India website ahead of the official launch, this teaser also reveals some key series about the LG W series smartphone. This listing also hints that these smartphones as Amazon Specials and will be exclusively sold on Amazon in India.
This dedicated landing page for LG W Series on Amazon reveals that the all-new W Series smartphones will sport an AI-powered triple camera setup on the back with features like Portrait mode, Low Light Picture, Ultra wide mode. These smartphones will also be made available in three colour variants as indicated on the landing page.
LG confirms that these smartphones will come with pocket-friendly price tags with some premium features. These new budget series smartphones from LG may directly compete with the players like Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme in this segment. Either LG or Amazon didn’t confirm the launch dates of this smartphone. According to some reports, LG may bring multiple smartphones under this W series and only one smartphone among this series may feature a triple camera setup.
Just to recall, LG launched its latest flagship smartphone LG V40 ThinQ in January. This flagship smartphone came with a price tag of Rs.49,990 in India. It features a 6.4-inch P-OLED capacitive touchscreen with 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor paired with an Adreno 630 GPU.
LG V40 ThinQ comes with a triple camera setup on the back comprising of a 16MP+12MP+12MP cameras. On the front, it has a dual camera setup of 8MP + 5MP cameras.
It is backed with a 3300mAh battery and comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. This smartphone is made available in two colour variants Platinum Grey and Moroccan Blue.
