Xiaomi, a Chinese mobile manufacturer is confirmed its launch of new Mi A2 in India on August 8. To recollect, the smartphone Mi A2 and MI A2 lite were introduced in Spain yesterday. The later model will not head to the country. Both the smartphones are runs on stock Android and do not come with MIUI. The Xiaomi MI A2  launch details are tweeted by Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain, stating the handset will be arriving in the country on August 8. And “yes! Mi A2 is coming to India on 8th August!,” his tweet reads.

Price and availability

The Mi A2 price starts at EUR 249 (roughly Rs. 20,000) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant, with the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model price set at EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 22,500), and the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model set at EUR 349 (roughly Rs. 28,100).The price in India is not yet disclosed.

It remains to be seen how Xiaomi will price the Mi A2 in India. Mi A1 was launched at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option, so the Mi A2 could be much more expensive than the original phone.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications and features

As per specifications considered, The Mi A2  comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.e handset is don’t house unfamous notch design on the top, though the smaller Mi A2 Lite has a notch. The latter phone comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Unlike other variants of Xiaomi, the new smartphone runs a stock Android one version of Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with Adreno 512 graphics chip, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. It has a dedicated microSD card slot.

For snappers, the Mi A2 gets a dual rear camera setup with high-end camera specifications. The primary 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor comes with 1.25-micron pixels and the secondary 20-megapixel sensor has a 2-micron 4-in-1 Super Pixel size. Up front, it has a 20MP camera sensor that comes with AI Portrait mode.

It packs a battery of 3,010mAh under the hood.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi A2 offers 4G LTE, dual-band (2.4GHz/ 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, IR emitter, USB Type-C, and Miracast. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack in this smartphone.
