Micromax Launches Google-Certified Android TVs in India

Last month, Micromax’s sub-brand has entered the smartphone market with the YU Yuphoria Smart TV and now again company has launched two new Google Certified Android televisions in India. The all-new 49-inch and 55-inch 4K Micromax Android TVs are priced at Rs 51,990 and Rs 61,990 respectively. Both the 4K Ultra-HD smart TV’s will be available for the buyers in India from this month. The company claims that these TVs are eco-energy efficient with low-power consumption.

Commenting on the launch, Rohan Agarwal, Director, Micromax Informatics Ltd. said, “With the launch of our first ever Google-certified television, we have taken a step further in providing our consumers with memorable and stunning picture-quality experience and a wide array of options with Google’s Play Store. The new range targets the consumers who want a larger than life experience and desire to access smart android content on a bigger, sharper, crystal clear screen. Specifications

The new Micromax Google-Certified Android TVs come with near edge-to-edge display. The panel comes with 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) resolution and HDR 10 support. Both the TV’s are powered by a quad-core A53 processor paired with 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB flash storage. Both the TV’s packs pack Dolby and DTS certification for sound.

In terms of software, both the 49-inch and 55-inch TVs boot Android Oreo and loaded with Google suite of apps such as Google Play Store, Games, Music, Movies and TV. The TVs also come with a built-in Chromecast feature that allows users to cast smartphones screen wirelessly. Other features include Google Assistant for voice search and wireless smartphone control.
