New Redmi Smartphone to Launch with Pop-Up Selfie Camera, Snapdragon 730 and 4000 mAh Battery

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is expected to launch a new smartphone with a pop-up camera, Snapdragon 730 SoC and 4000 mAh battery under the new Redmi sub-brand. Recent reports claimed that the Redmi smartphone will come with a pop-up front-facing camera and Snapdragon 855 flagship chipset. But the new reports are hinting at the new processor.

According to the report, a new Redmi smartphone has appeared with Snapdragon 730 SoC in China. Although there is no confirmation on the device name, the same device is believed to feature pop-up selfie shooter. Interestingly, Lu Weibing Redmi General Manager recently revealed that the Redmi’s flagship smartphone does not have a pop-up camera.

Furthermore, the newly leaked information also reveals that the device will pack a 4000 mAh battery and will feature a triple camera setup on the rear. The triple rear camera setup comprises of a 48-megapixel primary sensor + 8- megapixel secondary sensor + 13-megapixel tertiary sensor.

It is worth to mention that a recently leaked image of the device also revealed that the Xiaomi has decided to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other details of the phone, however, were not all that clear at that time. It seems that the launch is near, more leaks are expected to be surfaced soon. It is also possible that this will come to India, although there is no official word about this from Xiaomi right now. Let’s see what the company reveals in the future.
