OnePlus 6T Won’t have Wireless Charging and Likely to Cost More

Upcoming flagship from Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus 6T is expected to arrive at an event on October 17. The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau has revealed several things about the upcoming flagship OnePlus 6T. These things probably won’t make the potential buyers happy.

In an interview with the CNET, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said “Screen Unlock technology is something very new and there’s a definite cost required for that new technology. It’s not cheap.”

However, he didn’t revealed the exact price of the upcoming phone, instead the CEO hinted that the OnePlus 6T will cost more.

Furthermore, many users were asking about the Wireless Charging facility on OnePlus phones since the launch of OnePlus 6. But still, the company is not going to add the Wireless Charging on the upcoming phone.

This is what Pete Lau said about the Wireless Charging, “when we get to the day that the wireless charging can get up to speed without the implication of heat that we expect, then I believe we can integrate the technology.”

Talking about the IP rating, CEO confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6T is not water resistant officially. However, the 6T will be obviously more water-resistant than its predecessors and the device can survive a drop in the sink or a sprinkle amid a rainstorm.

The OnePlus 6T could retail for approx. $559 in US for the base variant and in India, it might cost around Rs 36,999.
