Oppo has silently launched a new smartphone in China under A series, Oppo A9 for RMB 1,799. The smartphone will be available for purchase from April 30 in Mica Green, Ice Jade White, and Fluorite Purple colors.
Oppo A9 Specifications
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Oppo A9 equipped with a 6.53-inch near bezel-less Full HD+ display bearing a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. Under the hood, the device is powered by octa-core Helio P70 processor.
In terms of memory, the smartphone packs 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 256GB. The camera department includes dual-rear camera setup with 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel and a 16-megapixel AI-powered front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options on the device include Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a micro-USB port. The smartphone is running Android Pie operating system out of the box with the company’s own ColorOS 6.0 custom interface on top. The device is fuelled by a 4,020mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging (20W), which should be enough to last an entire day of usage.
Oppo A9 Price and Availability
As we mentioned earlier, the Oppo A9 is priced at RMB 1,799 (approx. Rs 18,000). The smartphone will go on sale in China from April 30.
