Oppo Reno 8 4G goes official with Snapdragon 680 SoC

Oppo has announced a 4G version of its latest Reno smartphone – the Oppo Reno8 4G in Indonesia. However, it is unclear whether it will be launched in India as well. The company has already launched its 5G variant called Oppo Reno8 5G, in India, and it is already available on sale here.

Currently, Oppo Reno8 4G smartphone is only available in Indonesia for preorders, and the open sale is expected to begin on Friday, August 26. It comes in one variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which costs IDR 4,999,000 (around Rs 27,000).

Oppo Reno8 4G Specifications

The display is a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 600 nits of peak brightness, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. 

The smartphone’s top-left drill hole houses the 32MP selfie camera. On the rear of the smartphone, you’ll find a 64MP primary rear camera, in addition to a 2MP depth camera and a monochrome camera.

There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G SoC, and it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. In addition, the device offers up to 5GB of virtual RAM, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Moreover, the device has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It ships with Android 12-based Oppo’s latest edition of ColorOS to top it all off. 

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, and a USB-C port. There is a 3.5mm audio port on the smartphone.
