Pixel 3 Lite, Pixel 3 XL Lite Launch in India Soon, Model Numbers Revealed

Google had launched the third generation of Pixel flagship phones last year, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. But there have been a number of rumors circulating about a Lite version of Pixel 3 device since the launch of Pixel and Pixel 3 XL.

We’ve seen few leaks about the believed Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL as well. Now, model numbers of the upcoming Lite version of Pixel 3 series have now surfaced online. According to a report from MSP, the Pixel 3 Lite carries model number G020B while the Pixel 3 XL Lite has model number G020F.

Furthermore, according to the report both these smartphones will be manufactured by Foxconn, the company that also assembles the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Foxconn is the same company that assembles Apple iPhones and HMD Global’s Nokia devices. The report also hints that the mid-range and Lite version of these smartphones will soon be launched in the Indian market. However, the exact launch and availability dates are still unknown. Coming to the pricing, these smartphones will be priced under Rs. 40,000 which is approximately $559.

According to the previous leaks and rumors, the Pixel 3 Lite is expected to feature 5.56-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. While the Pixel 3 XL Lite is rumored to sport a 6-inch display. The Pixel 3 Lite will be featuring a Snapdragon 670 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and it is also expected to house a 12 MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device is expected to arrive with 32GB and 64GB variants.

The device will surely run on Android 9 Pie OS and likely to pack a 2915mAh battery. On the other hand, we could expect the similar camera setup on Pixel 3 XL Lite smartphone and it might come with Snapdragon 710 SoC along with a bigger battery compared to Pixel 3 Lite.

As Google is reportedly working on this mid-range Pixel for emerging markets, it will also be selling the smartphones through Verizon in the US.
