A new Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has been launched in China. The GT 2 Master Explorer is the successor to the Realme GT Master Explorer and the brand’s first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Other key highlights of the phone include a 120Hz AMOLED display, LPDDR5X RAM, a better heat dissipation unit, and 100W fast charging support.

The new Realme GT 2 Master Explorer is available in three Variants. The base variant with 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage is priced at 3,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 41,374) while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs 3,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 44,922). The top model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage comes with a price tag of 3,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 47,296). Realme GT 2 Master Explorer carries a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 10-bit colors, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+ support, in-screen fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The screen is powered by the X7 independent graphic chip for ultra-low latency frame insertion.

Under the hood, there is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There is a dual vapor chamber liquid cooling system for enhanced heat dissipation.

Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, Realme GT 2 Master Explorer supports 100W charging. According to the company, the 100W GaN (gallium nitride) charger will take 25 minutes to fully charge the device.Realme Gt2 Me

In terms of optics, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer offers a triple-rear camera module that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 150-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel microscope lens with up to 40x magnification. There is also a 16-megapixel front camera. 

Software-wise, the handset runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device measures 161.3 x 74.3 x 8.2mm and weighs around 199 grams.
