Xiaomi is all set to introduce a new smartphone in its Redmi series. The upcoming budget smartphone, Redmi 9 is tipped to launch on June 25. The Redmi 9 will launch as a successor to the Redmi 8. We have come across a few leaks on this phone in the last few days. Now, just a few weeks ahead of its launch, the specifications, and pricing has been tipped.
As per the Vietnamese tipster (with a username on @Boby25846908), the forthcoming Redmi 9 will be priced under $150 (approx. Rs. 11,300). He also noted that the Redmi 9 smartphone will be cheaper in India and China, but didn’t disclose the exact pricing for these markets.
In a separate post on Weibo, the live image of the Redmi 9 leaked that shows the quad rear camera setup with three sensors aligned vertically, while one is placed on the side with the flash. Similar to that on the flagship Redmi K30, the Redmi 9 also has a ring-like outline surrounding the camera sensors. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is also visible on the image sitting right below the three camera sensors. According to the leaked image, the Redmi 9 will be offered in Blue and Green shades.

Redmi 9 Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi 9 reportedly packs a 6.5inch full-HD 1080p LCD display with a punch-hole design. Under the hood, it is tipped to be fuelled by the MediaTek G80 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM/4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB storage configurations.
In terms of optics, the Redmi 9 is expected to ship with a quad rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor, and a 2-megapixel fourth camera. On the front, it is likely to feature a 8-megapixel selfie shooter housed inside the punch-hole. It might pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
