Redmi 9A price hiked in India, now starts at ₹6,999

The base model of Redmi 9A with 2GB RAM+32GB storage is now priced at Rs 6,999 following an increase of Rs 200. It was earlier selling for Rs 6,999. Surprisingly, the brand did not hike the price of the 3GB+32GB variant of Redmi 9A and it’s still available at Rs 7,499.

The phone retails on Xiaomi’s official website and Amazon.in. While the company’s website showing the updated price, Amazon is still selling the phone at an earlier price tag. As we mentioned earlier, Redmi 9A is available in 2GB/32GB and 3GB/32GB memory configuration and is available in three color options – Midnight Black, Nature Green, and Sea Blue.

Redmi 9A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone ships with Android 10-based MIUI 12. The phone is fitted with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging through a USB-C port. The phone has an IR blaster but lacks a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, it packs a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The SoC is paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.

On the rear side, you get a single 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. Upfront, it has a 5-megapixel camera housed inside the waterdrop notch.
