Redmi K30 may launch as a rebranded Poco F2 Lite in India

Xiaomi recently announced POCO as an independent brand and Poco already confirmed the arrival of new Poco smartphones in India very soon. One of the upcoming Poco smartphones, dubbed as Poco F2 Lite has appeared in several reports and rumours in the past few weeks, and we already know what to expect in terms of specs from the new Poco phone.

Redmi K30 Back

Contrary to previous reports, the latest report from 91Mobiles reveals that the Poco F2 Lite will launch pretty soon in India as the global variant of the Redmi K30.

Recently, Xiaomi phone with model number M1912G7BI certified by BIS certification site. Interestingly, the model number is associated with Redmi K30 Chinese variant and it looks like the alleged listing of Redmi K30 will be rebranded as Poco F2 Lite when it comes to India. Surprisingly, model number M1912G7BI (“I” stands for India) is listed under the POCO brand.

While there is no way we could verify the claim, we expect the Poco F2 Lite and two other Poco smartphones to launch in India in the coming weeks or months. However, the company may not launch the phone with 5G connectivity because of the lack of 5G infrastructure in India. However, dropping 5G connectivity on the phone will lower the price of the phone.
