Xiaomi has not confirmed the details yet. In the meantime, a new leak has revealed the specifications of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone. It will be a successor to the Redmi K40 Gaming, sold as Poco F3 GT in India.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, there will be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone. Tipster Panda has also leaked details about the device’s display and other specifications.

Redmi K50 Gaming is reported to have a 6.67-inch OLED display, similar to its predecessor. However, it is expected to feature curved sides and Full HD+ resolution. It will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate. A tiny hole will also be punched out at the top of the phone for the 16MP front-facing camera.

A triple-camera setup will be found on the back. It is said to be equipped with either a 48MP or 64MP main camera. In addition to the 13 MP ultrawide camera, the camera setup will also include a 2 MP macro camera.

Additionally, the tipster mentions that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The phone is likely to have a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It is important to note that the K40 Gaming Edition was launched with a Dimensity 1200 processor. There are also reports that Redmi is developing a smartphone with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.

It is said that the K50 Gaming comes with a dual VC cooling system and also trigger buttons to enhance the gaming experience. No other information is available at this time.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition may be marketed as a Poco phone in India. Previously, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition was launched in India as the Poco F3 GT featuring similar specs.
