Redmi Pad 5G leaked poster reveal key details

Rumors have been rife that Xiaomi is working on a tablet. A new leak has surfaced online, suggesting that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is indeed working on the tablet called Redmi Pad 5G. A Weibo post has revealed the key specifications and the pricing of Xiaomi’s upcoming product portfolio.

Redmi Pad 5g Specifications

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Pad 5G will pack a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 SoC. This SoC will support dual-mode 5G connectivity. Even though the battery capacity isn’t mentioned, it is confirmed to support 30W fast charging tech.

Going by the report, the tablet will feature super linear quad speakers. Unfortunately, the screen size isn’t revealed, but the support for the 90Hz refresh rate is confirmed through the poster. On the photography front, the tablet will have a 48-megapixel Sony sensor on the rear. Software-wise, it will run Android-based MIUI for tablets.

As you can see in the images, on the front the Redmi Pad 5G sports slim bezels on the left and right. The upper bezel has a camera for selfies and video calling. However, the rear design isn’t revealed in the images. Further, the image discloses that the Redmi Pad 5G will arrive in white and black color variants.

According to the leaked poster, the Redmi Pad 5G might sell at 1,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 21,500) in China. If these reports are to be believed, it will be the first 5G tablet from Xiaomi. The company will be holding a launch event for announcing MIUI 12 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G on April 27 and is likely to introduce the Redmi Pad 5G on the same event.
