Samsung officially announced the Galaxy A70 along with the Galaxy A80 at “A Galaxy Event” in Bangkok. Samsung Galaxy A8 was the star of the event with its stunning features like the pop-up rotating camera. Samsung Galaxy A70 also grabbed audience attention with its attractive design, large battery and Infinity-U display. The specifications of Galaxy A70 are somehow similar to the Galaxy A50.

Samsung A70 will be available before the Samsung A80 in India, the company already made a microsite live on the official Samsung website featuring Samsung A70 and it’s specifications. The Galaxy A70 is the successor to the Galaxy A70 launched a few weeks ago. Let us see how are these both A-series smartphones different from each other.

Samsung Galaxy A70 vs Samsung Galaxy A50: Design and Specifications

The Galaxy A70 and the Galaxy A50 look alike from a distance and both the smartphones come with Infinity-U waterdrop displays and 3D glasstic designs with gradient prism-effect on the back. Both the A-series smartphones are made available in black, white and blue colours, but the Galaxy A70 got an additional coral variant.

Both the Galaxy A70 and A50 come with face unlock and in-display fingerprint sensors. Both the new smartphones got Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and support dual-sim.

Coming to display, the Galaxy A70 got a bigger display compared to the Galaxy A50. The Galaxy A70 is featured with a bigger  6.7-inch FHD+ (2400X1080) Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy A50 sports 6.4-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) Super AMOLED display.

Samsung Galaxy A70 is power packed with an 11nm-based octa-core 2.0Ghz Snapdragon 675 which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. While the Samsung Galaxy A50 is powered with faster chipset 2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 9610, it is also available in 6GB RAM variant.

Both the smartphones run Android Pie with One UI on top, which means you will feel a similar experience while using both the devices.

Both the A-series smartphones are featured with triple-cameras on the back but varied slightly with configurations. The Galaxy A70 gets a 32MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 32MP selfie camera while the Galaxy A50 has a 25MP f/1.7 main camera and a 25MP camera on the front.

The Galaxy A70 also got a huge 4,500mAh battery which also supports fast charging up to 25W, while the A50 possess 4,000mAh battery and also won’t support fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A70 vs Samsung Galaxy A50: Price in India

The base variant of the Galaxy A50 is priced around Rs 19,990 and the top-end variant, the 6GB version comes for Rs 22,990. It is available both offline and online channels. The price of Galaxy A70 is not yet officially announced by the company but expected to be priced around Rs.30,000 – Rs.35,000 based on the features and specifications.
