Samsung Electronics announced its latest Galaxy A smartphones that offer new design and innovative rotating camera in Bangkok, Thailand. The Galaxy A80 which has so far been rumored as the Galaxy A90 is the Samsung’s first smartphone with a slider mechanism and rotating camera and it is launched in three color options: Black, Gold, and White. The Galaxy A80 will launch on May 29th, joining the other recently unveiled Galaxy A series smartphones: Galaxy A10, A20, A30, and A50. Pricing for the Galaxy A80 is yet to be announced by the company.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 runs on OneUI skin based on Android 9 Pie and features a 56.7-inch full-HD+ super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC. As far as the memory is concerned, the device has 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which cannot be further expanded via a microSD card.

Coming to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A80 sports a pop-up mechanism consists a triple-camera array comprising of a main 48-megapixel f/2.0 camera, flanked by an ultrawide 8-megapixel f/2.2 camera, and a third ToF (time-of-flight) sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by a 3700mAh battery support for 25W PD fast charging.
