Samsung Galaxy M Series Smartphones Confirmed to Launch on January 28 in India

We came across several leaks and rumors around the Samsung Galaxy M series smartphones and now according to new report, the Galaxy M series smartphones are going to launch first in India. The three new models under Galaxy M series will be available both via Amazon India and the Samsung Online Shop.

According to the company, the Galaxy M-Series phones will be targeted at ‘young millennials’ and feature ‘powerful’ displays, cameras, batteries, and processors. However, the company has not revealed the specifications of the smartphones.

Earlier leaks confirmed that the Galaxy M series smartphones will be Galaxy M10, M20 and M30. Samsung is aggressive priced this series of smartphones to take on the other smartphone makers in the market such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo. This series smartphones will also be launched in global markets soon after the launch in India.

In an interview with Reuters, Samsung said it plans to launch the budget Galaxy M smartphone series in India before the global launch to counter Chinese rivals. Samsung India Senior Vice President told Reuters that the phones will have large batteries with fast charging support. Previous reports hinted that the Galaxy M20 and M30 will back massive 5,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy M10 was reported to feature a large 6.2-inch Infinity-V display while it could be powered by the octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz under the hood. The device is backed by 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of on-board storage. The battery is likely to be a 3,400mAh.

Coming to the specs of Galaxy M20, is expected to come with a 6.13-inch Infinity-V display. The device is expected to be powered by the octa-core Exynos 7885 processor paired with the 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. On the camera department, there could be an 8-megapixel front cam while at the rear, it is expected to pack a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. The Galaxy M20 might also include a 5000mAh battery while it will run Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s own skin on top.

The last variant, the Samsung Galaxy M30 might launch with a Infinity-V display and it could powered by the octa-core Exynos 7885 processor backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. In terms of optics, the Galaxy M30 is likely to feature 16-megapixel front camera for selfies while at the back, there can be a triple camera setup with 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 5-megapixel cameras. The device could pack a massive 5000mAh battery.

The Galaxy M series phones are likely to replace the Galaxy J, C, and On series of smartphones. According to the the head of Samsung’s Indian mobile business, early launch in India will help the company to double online sales.
